George won the first of this season’s ranking tournaments, the Gibraltar Masters, and did it dropping only two legs all evening.

In the final he played team mate Francis Taylor, winning 4-1 against an opponent who looked a bit weary, having already beaten most of Gibraltar’s top players.
In a change of format, this competition was played without any seeding's, and Francis Taylor found himself in a really tough group, he was on form though, successfully beating Dylan Duo, then Tony Dawkins, Justin Broton and Dyson Parody. Unfortunately for him though, he couldn't quite keep it up, and failed at the last hurdle.

In the other half of the draw, it was Duck & Firkin player Amos Bosano who won through after beating Harry Parody, Danny Peach and Nicky Barbara. He too, though met his match when he came up against George Federico in the semi-final.

George is the undisputed father of Gibraltar darts – he represented us in 2004 in the Mediterranean Cup and the World Masters, and he is already looking forward to being part of the Gibraltar team this year.
